Steve Heffernan and his sons did an outstanding job restoring the original hardwood floors in my 1930s home. They also installed new flooring in areas where it was needed, and the way they blended the new wood with the existing floors was seamless. Steven Heffernan is an expert at hardwood floor restoration. From my initial phone call with him, I knew he was the one I wanted to redo our floors. He met us at the house, took one look at the floors, and told us everything we needed to know about them. He and his sons were very professional, knowledgeable, informative, careful and competent. The floors now look absolutely beautiful. Steve gave us great advice on how to take care of them going forward.

They weren't the cheapest but Stephen's knowledge and expertise in the field stood out from all the other companies that quoted us. The biggest thing was making sure we landed on the exact color and finish we had in mind, and they were patient throughout the entire process. The floors completely changed the feel of the home: brighter, cleaner, and way more modern while still keeping that warm, high-end look.

We just had our 70+ year old oak wood floors repaired and refinished, and we are thrilled with the results! Stephen was by far the most knowledgeable of the companies we interviewed. We were thinking the house would get pretty dusty with all the sanding required, and we were very surprised, and happy, that there was hardly any sanding dust at all. His equipment was pretty extensive, hooked up to special vacuums at all times.

This family is amazing. Experience, honesty, and quality work, plus they are just great people. They refinished about 1,000 sq ft of white oak and heart pine mix, plus patched an area that was torn up with salvaged pine to match, and you'd never know there was a huge hole there before. We've had some really bad experiences with contractors in FL, so don't hesitate with these guys.

Referred to Heffernan Hardwood Floors by a cabinet vendor, Stephen provided in depth knowledge of hardwood floor care and refinishing. There really are some true floor craftsmen left. Steve Heffernan and his sons just refinished red oak floors in my 1927 house. A previous resident left behind several dog urine stains, and Steve sanded them out and left my floors gleaming. You realize quickly how much he really loves wood and takes pride in his work.
